Recently, At the invitation of Law-Asia, Davy Shan, a senior partner of Guangdong ETR Law Firm, participated in the Commercial Law Forum held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and made a keynote speech entitled “Successful Financing Belt&Road Project—The Way Forward” in the “Belt and Road” sub-forum. In the speech, Davy mainly introduced China's Belt and Road related policies, legal system, supervision system, overseas investment, overseas engineering contracting, foreign exchange management, financing structure and guarantee form in a systematic way. After the speech, the lawyers of Southeast Asian countries had further understanding of China's " Belt and Road " legal system, and they highly praised the speech.

  本次论坛由亚太法协会主办，菲律宾全国统一律师协会承办，会议邀请了来自数十个亚太国家的200多名专业律师、法官、教授及企业界的嘉宾参与，会场设在具有悠久历史的菲律宾大学校园内。菲律宾最高法院法官、菲律宾全国统一律师协会主席、马尼拉律师协会主席及菲律宾部分地区行政州长和政府官员等本地嘉宾也参与了此次盛会。

  The forum was hosted by the Asia Pacific Law Association and organized by the Philippine National Unified Bar Association. The conference invited more than 200 professional lawyers, judges, professors and business guests from dozens of Asia-Pacific countries to participate. The venue is located on the campus of the Philippine University with a long history. Local guests such as the Supreme Court of the Philippines, the President of the National Association of Bar Associations of the Philippines, the President of the Manila Bar Association, and the administrative governors and government officials of some parts of the Philippines also participated in the event.

  Law-Asia商法论坛主题分为9个部分，分别为“商业环境的变化”、“私人数据的保护”、“反垄断和竞争法”、“公司及其他法人主体”、“区块链及虚拟货币”、“跨境投资、仲裁、破产”、“合资、特许经营及其他投资结构”、“亚洲的基础设施建设---中国的一带一路和菲律宾的基础设施振兴项目”、“亚洲各国的税法制度”。来自菲律宾、中国、马来西亚、日本、韩国、斯里兰卡、新加坡、印度、印度尼西亚、澳大利亚、香港、俄罗斯等国家和地区的法官、律师和教授以及来自亚洲开发银行等国际组织的专家一起，就上述9个议题的内容，向与会人员作了主题演讲并进行了深度讨论。

  The Law-Asia Business Law Forum theme was divided into 9 parts, namely “changes in the business environment”, “protection of private data”, “antitrust and competition law”, “company and other legal entities”, “blockchain and virtual currency”, “cross-border investment, arbitration, bankruptcy”, “joint ventures, franchising and other investment structures”, “Asia's infrastructure construction – China's Belt and Road Initiative and the Philippines' infrastructure revitalization project” and “Asian countries Tax law system." Judges, lawyers and professors from the Philippines, China, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong, Russia and other countries and regions, as well as experts from international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank made keynote speech and further discussions regarding the above 9 topics to the participants.

  In his speech, Davy also mentioned the basic situation, personnel scale, professional field and future development direction of ETR Law Firm, and expressed his good intention to further cooperate with relevant institutions, and received positive feedback from many law firms. With the acceleration of the new round of reform and opening up in China and the further implementation of the Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Greater Bar Area，ETR Law Firm will have larger scale and be internationalize, in order to provide more international high-quality legal services for the majority of enterprises in Guangdong Province and even the whole country.
